1. Model MTU-4000 Bulk Bag Unloaders With Hoist

A leading manufacturer of chopped strand fiberglass needed to transfer their main supply from bulk bags to 50# cartons, for ease in handling by their customer. Cartons are completely filled to exact weight +0.1 pounds in 20 to 30 seconds.

Metso BEST supplied a Model MTU-4000-AC-AU-12-VF Bulk Bag unloader with Self-Contained Hoist to feed product at a controlled rate to their scale. The 2-speed, quiet, air-powered feeder is automatically controlled by the scale's fast and dribble set points.

2. 50 LB. Bag dump accessory for B.E.S.T.'s standard MTU-4000 Bulk Bag Unloaders

Operator opens bag untie access door to untie 2000# bulk bag spout in dust-tight chamber. Customer also wanted to dump 50# bags of product in the same system (see below). With the new Bag Dump (BD) feature (shown below) both large and small bags can be processed.

Metso BEST (BD) Bag Dump feature is a special accessory which allows the addition of "hand adds" or the dumping of 50# bags, in the same system, as where 2000# IBC bulk bags are unloaded. Note cover is held in "up" position to enable operator to use both hands for easy loading. Inside the bag dump, the 50# bag is supported on a heavy protective grating which prevents foreign items or paper pieces from entering the product flow. The entire system is dust-tight.
